Artist Statement
The image, Hector Falls-Closeup, was taken in 2002. Hector Falls drains into Seneca Lake in upstate New York. I used Fuji Velvia film, a Canon EOS II camera on a Bogen 3020 Tripod and a circular polarizer. The last light from a clear sunny day further softened the water. I like repetitive patterns, strong compositions and, particularly, juxtapositions of textures and colors. I shot several images, but I knew this was a winner. Thank you for seconding my hunch.
I am a self-taught photographic and digital artist. |
